Modern Slavery Policy

1. Overview and Definition of Modern Slavery

Modern slavery, including slavery, forced labour, child labour, and human trafficking, is a serious crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It deprives victims of their freedom and is often associated with financial exploitation.

At Hampton & Hyde, we are committed to conducting business ethically and with respect for fundamental human rights. We do not tolerate any form of modern slavery within our business or supply chains.

This policy applies to all individuals working for or on behalf of Hampton & Hyde, including employees, directors, officers, consultants, suppliers, and service providers. Failure to comply with this policy may result in disciplinary action, contract termination, or legal consequences.

2. Preventing Modern Slavery in Our Business

Hampton & Hyde implements stringent checks on all employees, recruitment agencies, and suppliers to ensure transparency and compliance with ethical labour standards.

Every employee is provided with a written contract, is paid in accordance with legal wage requirements, and is afforded all necessary rights related to health, safety, working hours, rest breaks, and holiday entitlements as required by law.

3. Expectations for Suppliers

If you supply Hampton & Hyde with goods or services, you must assess your business and supply chains to ensure compliance with all legal obligations regarding modern slavery. You are required to confirm your commitment to preventing modern slavery and provide a copy of your anti-slavery policy.

If any supplier is found to be in breach of this policy or to have knowingly engaged in slavery or human trafficking, Hampton & Hyde reserves the right to terminate contracts and pursue legal action where necessary.

4. Responsibilities of Employees and Workers

All employees and workers providing services for Hampton & Hyde must immediately report any suspicions of modern slavery or human trafficking within our business or supply chains. Reports should be directed to our designated Anti-Slavery Officer (ASO), who will investigate the matter and report findings to the Board of Directors.

Employees who raise genuine concerns in good faith will not face detrimental treatment, even if their concerns are later found to be mistaken. If any employee believes they have suffered negative consequences for reporting concerns, they should report the issue to the ASO and refer to our Grievance and Whistleblowing Policies.

Hampton & Hyde remains committed to ethical business practices and the eradication of modern slavery in all forms. Any questions or concerns regarding this policy should be directed to info@hamptonandhyde.com.
